This will among the other things include access to critical amenities like good roads, schools, hospitals, water systems, and essential services, as well as promoting economic diversification and livelihood opportunities.

Pastoralism, Climate change and Livelihood

The objectives of the organization will be to educate the society on the impacts of climate change and encourage environmentally friendly practices. This involves lobbying for policies and measures that promote renewable energy, water, and land management for sustainability. NOWLA will also engage the local communities, government departments and environmental NGOs in the actualization of climate change adaptation measures such as drought tolerant crops, rain water harvesting and ecosystem rehabilitation. NOWLA will strive to foster sustainable pastoralism practices and other income generating activities in the region. This includes putting in place policies and programmes that enable pastoralist communities to access land for grazing, water and veterinary services.
